MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS

Massive congratulations to Stuart Waddington - our Stepping Stones partner in Oxford who has just this week completed on a property for which the majority of funds were crowd funded! This is a monumental achievement which you will well know if you have ever attempted crowd funding for anything. A purchase price of £835,000 for a 6 bed HMO - it's expensive in Oxford! Crowd funding of over £500,000 and a mortgage to make up the difference. Hat's off to you Stuart for your unwavering determination to keep supporting charities to house their homeless and disadvantaged clients even when the market is against them in every way. That puts Stuart in Oxford at 32 clients per night who would otherwise be homeless!

Going Global - Update

Welcome Home Frank! I am so excited to share with you all that we are taking donations to enable us to press ahead with Stepping Stones Costa Rica! The main barrier to affordable housing in Costa Rica is the purchase price of the land so we will be looking to purchase land allowing families to build a home on it and pay us back over time! How exciting is that. We are very grateful to have met and now be working with such a strategic partner in Costa Rica and can't wait to get the ball rolling on this. Please get in touch if you would like to make a donation to Stepping Stones Costa Rica. This will be a not for profit partnership hence we are asking for donations and not investments. Typically land is £5,000 for a plot on which a family can build their own home.

Going Global

Stepping Stones is going global! The vision behind Stepping Stones has always been to solve the global issue of homelessness. Some of our efforts to do this have been and remain hampered by the pandemic but we are excited to say announce that Frank Flegg is currently abroad and connecting with possible partners in South America to see how we can support them to house the homeless in their towns and cities. Travel Safe Frank!!

January 2021 Update

Setting and reaching ambitious goals!

Stepping Stones is building on the growth from the new partners joining. We have smashed our early goals and need to set some new ones!! The Stepping Stones project has now provided over 160,000 nights of accommodation! That means that 160,000 nights of homelessness have been provided as a direct result of our partnership with local charities, churches and not for profits! I am so proud of what we have achieved. I am setting an ambitious goal to smash 500,000 in the next year! I will keep you posted on progress towards that goal.

Stepping Stones & Le Manoir Restaurant Oxford

Stepping Stones clients in Oxford are in for a real treat during lockdown. The acclaimed head chef from the 3 Michelin Star restaurant in Oxford has been furlouged as a consequence of the current pandemic. He and his team have decided to cater twice a week for Stepping Stones clients across Oxford and are delivering gourmet take away meals to them until Lockdown ends. The power of partnership to positively affect people's lives is such a privilege to witness. Thanks so much to the team at Le Manoir!

Aiming High

Changing lives one bed at a time

It is the 6th November 2019 and tonight Stepping Stones will have provided over 100,000 nights of housing for people who would otherwise have been homeless. Having started 10 years ago with just 4 beds we are really proud of all the work that has gone into smashing this goal. It is a privelege to work with so many different charities, churches and not for profits. Our goal is to see your clients achieve all their personal goals by providing housing where normally your clients would be turned down or low priority.
